La temporada de premios continúa y los ganadores se hacen cada vez más conocidos, es el momento del año que las estrellas aman. Los Critics Choice Awards se realizaron la noche de este domingo y los resultados fueron muy similares a los del domingo pasado en la gala de los Golden Globe. 

Taye Diggs, el host de estos Critics Choice Awards se encargó de mantener a todos alegres con una gran cantidad de comentarios divertidos. Los temas de conversación siempre estuvieron alrededor de la tensión que puede generar la crítica y la prensa sobre las estrellas presentes. 

Esto premios son una especie de preparativo para llenar nuestras predicciones para el gran momento de los Oscars, pues en muchas oportunidades los resultados durante toda la temporada se reflejan en los más esperados, los Academy Awards. 

Los Critics Choice Awards premian cine y televisión y tienen más categorías similares a los Oscar. Esta gala se realizó con muchos chistes, premios especiales y discursos emotivos. La gran diferencia con los anteriores premios puede ser un gran salto para la Academia, pues no fue 1917 la película triunfadora en la categoría principal.  

La gran ganadora de la noche fue Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, que se espera sea una de las favoritas la noche de los Oscars. Además, resultó ser la mayor de las ganadoras con 4 galardones de las 12 nominaciones con las que contaba por parte de la crítica. 

Lo más especial de esta entrega de premios ha sido el doble empate en dos categorías, es decir la crítica decidió dar doble premio en las nominaciones de mejor director, otorgados a  Bong Joon Ho, Parasite y Sam Mendes, 1917. Al igual que en el caso de mejor canción, para “Glasgow (No Place Like Home)” de Wild Rose y “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” de Rocketman.

La televisión por su parte, fue bastante predecible y segura, sin sorpresas con respecto a las premiaciones anteriores y con resultados que ya esperábamos. Por su parte, los looks fueron como esperábamos extravagantes y brillantes por parte de las estrellas presentes. 

Eddie Murphy recibió un premio al logro de toda la vida actoral, mientras que Kristen Bell, quien fue honrada con el premio #SeeHer, otorgado a mujeres que representan otras mujeres en la gran pantalla que resultan brillantes, geniales y poderosas.
